Cultural Exchange: UK 2011 / Canada-US 2012
In 2011, Maple Morris will take on its most ambitious project yet, in
collaboration with England's foremost Morris innovators, Morris
Offspring.
Through a week of workshops and rehearsals, Maple Morris and Morris Offspring will produce a stage performance showcasing Morris dancing at its most inventive. We will be joined by some very exciting English folk bands; stay tuned for more details!
A return leg of the collaboration in 2012 will see Maple Morris joined by Morris Offspring to perform in Canada and the US. We are also confirming the participation of some great Canadian bands for this project.
We Need Your Help
Maple Morris is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Morris dancing in North America. Many of our dancers are students who will be unable to participate in the UK project without financial support. We need your donations to make this project a success.
All donations will go directly to the travel and lodging expenses of a young dancer in financial need. To help out, use the Paypal link below or contact us to donate by cheque.
